NEW ARMED SECURITY GUARD TRAINING
Class Cost: $75.00 + $25.00 (range fee)
This course is designed to certify armed security guards to carry firearms upon successful completion. This is a 2-part course, the first part is completed ONLINE and the second part is completed IN PERSON, at a shooting range.
Ammunition, range fees ($25) and weapons are NOT included in the cost of the course.
You will have access to the course for 30 days so you can stop and start the online portion as needed, just make sure to complete it prior to scheduling your qualification shoot. Upon completion of the online portion, you will need to schedule an “in person” range day. We will meet at the classroom for the final written test and discussion, then head out to Ben Avery Shooting Facility for your qualification shoot.
All students MUST bring $25 cash (for range fees), a standard duty type revolver or semi-automatic pistol, holster, at least 2 magazines or speed loaders, 100 rounds of ammunition and hearing & eye protection.
Per Arizona Revised Statutes Title 32, Chapter 26, any person working as an unarmed or armed security guard in the State of Arizona must take the required course(s) and be licensed by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). Any person standing post as a security guard without a valid armed and/or unarmed guard license and an approved uniform is in violation of this law and will be subject to a Class 1 Misdemeanor. PLEASE NOTE: The online portion of this course is 8 - 9 hours. Completing this course requires passing a final written test and a qualifying shoot. There will be NO refunds issued if you fail to pass either one, or if you cannot pass the background check.

Unarmed Security Guard Class -Course fee $35.00
This class is an 8 hour ONLINE course, designed to help students obtain the skills necessary to become professional security officers . When you complete the course you will have the basic knowledge to qualify for the Arizona Unarmed Guard card. This class will also satisfy the bi-yearly requirements for a renewal license.
There are also NO refunds once you start the course, or if you cannot pass the background check
Yearly Refresher for Armed Security Guard -Course fee $50.00 + $25.00 (range fee)
This class is designed to re-certify armed security guards to carry firearms upon successful completion.

CCW Permit Classes -Course fee $100.00
This Arizona Concealed Carry Weapons course combines both classroom and range shooting. This course is 3-5 hours, depending on class size.
The following subject matter is covered:
A.R.S. laws pertaining to carrying a concealed weapon
Use of deadly force
Interaction with law enforcement
Gun safety
Equipment Requirements:
Semi automatic pistol or revolver
50 rounds of factory ammunition (no re-loads)
Ear and eye protection
No open toed shoes
This is a complete, comprehensive Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) course. Upon completion of the class You will have all documentation (certificate of completion, fingerprints & DPS application) to submit to the Arizona Department of Public Safety to issue you an Arizona CCW Permit.
